The Mystery of Predestination
What about fate?
Some people believe and claim that no matter what you do or where you go, you can never rise above what is written about you. In that case, do you know what was written for or for you? Is poverty written for you or for you? Were you created to suffer, suffer and die as a “nobody” on earth? There is no such writing anywhere, the bible says, “I can do all things through Christ…” Crafts, some are for entertaining people. I can’t believe that anyone was created to be useless, or failed, or “nobody”. No matter what you do, no matter who you are, you can be successful. Did you know you could be more successful as a bread seller than any doctor? Yes, I’ve seen some tailors (fashion designers) become richer than many doctors combined.
We have a guy in Lagos, Nigeria who started his life as a packer of human waste (poop). The man returned to work at night because it was a disgrace to carry the thing during the day, along with the foul smell (气气). Soon enough (I don’t actually know, but probably somewhere between ten and twenty years), he was a big shot, getting big time contracts, packing socks at big shots’ houses and companies. Over time, he became a multimillionaire, owning many tanker trailers used to pack human waste. Success in life does not lie in any single trade or vocation, no matter what talent you are gifted for it; you can excel in it if you can keep the devil under your feet, where he belongs. Some people claim that God destined some people to live well, whether or not they struggled in life. They cite Jacob’s (albeit young) calling and God’s preference for Esau, who said, “I love Jacob and I hate Esau,” even before they were born. Next, let me explain to you God’s redemption plan for man, in order to show God’s justice to man.
After God created man in his own image, he blessed man and said, “Be fruitful and multiply, fill the earth, and rule over it; rule over the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, and all living things that move on the ground.” Creation Genesis 1:28.
This blessing is for humans (no exemptions, meaning you are included). But man fell because of his disobedience to God, to the point where man’s evil and sin were so great that God regretted creating man on earth.
God sees that the sinfulness of the world is great on earth, and that all their thoughts are evil all day long. The LORD regretted making man on earth, and was saddened. Genesis 6:5,6
All mankind was corrupt before the Lord, and the Lord made a plan to exterminate mankind; but Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Genesis 6:8. Why did he find a match before the Lord? He found grace because he lived right.
“…Noah was righteous and perfect in his generation, and Noah walked with God” (Genesis 6:9)
We all know what happened, the flood came and only Noah’s family was preserved along with various animal species. Human wickedness continued after the flood; then God found Abraham and made a covenant with him. God made a covenant with Abraham and his descendants; Isaac, then Jacob, then Judah inherited the covenant until it came to David. This covenant is a treasure trove of great depth and breadth; it will take another book to explain its full significance. As we go on, I’ll emphasize some of the importance of covenants.
Beginning with David, the covenant continues until our Lord Jesus Christ. You see, until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, God was on the side of the Israelites and any of them who kept the covenant. As long as you keep the covenant seriously and meditate on it, you will become God’s favorite, and you will be unconquerable by any power on earth.
In fact, God would publicly rebuke kings who wanted to reach His people. Those who bear God’s covenant (God) like them more than anyone else in the world. Thus, the children of Israel enjoyed many immunities from God because of the covenant, they enjoyed increased opportunities, and God’s favor was strengthened by their ability to keep their part of the covenant.
From Abraham to Jesus, the covenant is complete. A covenant with Jesus is not based on the flesh, but on the spirit. Jesus, who is now the custodian of the covenant or the descendant of Abraham, did not pass the seed through the woman to the physical son (as you know, Jesus had no wife, let alone physical children in the realm). This means that if the seed or covenant had to be passed on, it had to be passed through Jesus’ first son, but he didn’t have a biological son. However, by the Spirit, He has many glorious sons, including you and me. That’s why we now have the New Covenant or New Testament. The basis of the New Testament can be found in John 3:16, which states
“God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life”
The covenant started from Israel, from the family of Abraham (physically), and passed on to the whole world through the spiritual means of faith or belief. Know that Abraham himself touched the covenant by faith. If you have faith or believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the covenant becomes yours. From Jesus Christ on earth until now, we are pleasing or receiving from God by faith, not born into a certain family.
Let’s look at Titus 2:11-14
“For the saving grace of God has been revealed to all, teaching us…in this world…” , it works for them without favoritism or even hindrance. In the New Testament, no one who understands the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ can accuse God of partiality. The same goes for the Old Testament (in favor of Israel); when God favored Jacob over Esau before they were born, it was because God saw the end before they began. Even Esau was willing to sell his birthright for food; God didn’t force him to do that. God chose Jacob because He knew many things we may never know. God chose Jacob, and the Savior of the world used Jacob to save all mankind from the wrath of God.
In the Old Testament, God saw the whole world and divided them into two groups, Israelites and Gentiles. He makes a covenant with Israel, and the rest of the world is Gentile. Now the question is different; God now divides the world into three categories,
1) Church of Jesus Christ
2) The Israelites and
Anyone, black or white, can belong to the most favored group, the Church. If God is partial, today only the house of Israel will be saved, and the rest of the world will be lost. Thank God today, whoever accepts Jesus as Savior, good or bad, dangerous or peaceful, educated or primitive, rich or poor, as long as you accept Jesus, God accepts you. As a member of the Universal Church, you become a child of God and thus a beneficiary of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These benefits include salvation, healing, deliverance, security, long life, prosperity, divine health, power over demons, presence of God, etc. This is the foundation of prosperity. With this promise, or with the Gospel, you can be anything you want to be. You have power from God – the Holy Spirit to conquer the enemy of mankind – Satan. You are of God; you were born to succeed, for the happiness of your generation.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is God’s power over all demonic powers in the world. 1:16. If you want to experience the power of God, if you want to flow in the river of God’s grace, it’s all in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Christ is the solution to the multifaceted problems of humanity, it is the key to the solution, and your solution is as certain as the day.
