Tsunami Disaster Predicted By Astrology

In his magnum opus, Brihat Samhita, there is an entire chapter devoted to earthquakes. But our business-minded astrologers today have little use for it. That’s why it’s ignored. There is no experiment and research in this direction either.

Martanda panchanga of Vikram Samvat 2061 states, “During November 27th to December 26th, there may be some natural disasters in America, China, Japan, Muslim countries, or North or South India, such as major earthquakes and marine disasters.”

There may be earthquakes, landslides, explosions or other terrorist activities.”

We only referenced two panchangas. There are many panchangas published in Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati and other languages. Presumably, such predictions may have been made in them.

We do not claim that the predictions of these astrologers or panchangas are infallible. Nor is it because most predictions have proven accurate. Nor do we advise our readers to resign themselves to doing less effort in the direction needed.

Our attention was suddenly drawn to a piece of news published in The Hindu on November 27, 2004. On November 26, 2004, an earthquake struck Indonesia, killing 17 people. Some 130 people were injured and more than 300 buildings were destroyed. That was Kartika Purnima (full moon) on November 26, 2004.
