Law of Attraction Manifestation Exercise #18 – How to Change the Negative in As Little As 21 Days
Did you know you can change negative core beliefs in 21 days? Even if it’s an idea you’ve had for 30 years?
Or can you form a new good habit in just 21 days that will last a lifetime?
I’ve always loved this scientific statistic, and it’s a great exercise when learning how to apply the law of attraction.
The great part about it is that you can do a lot of different things with it.
The first thing to do is draw or print out a calendar for the current month. I found a free calendar for you to use at freeprintablecalendar.net. I like this particular site because you can also add a personal photo at the top, which will help inspire you, and you don’t have to sign up for anything to use the program.
Or, if you don’t have a printer available, you can simply draw a calendar yourself.
Decide now what you want to change or accomplish.
I recommend starting with one thing at a time until the old habit is broken before starting a new one so you don’t feel overwhelmed, but if you can handle more than one – do it! Just make sure to print a separate calendar for each idea.
So what is the new habit you want to form? Do you want to start meditating, taking vitamins, exercising, and eating healthier? Do you want to start getting more organized? Start paying attention to your email, to keeping your house clean, to what’s going on at work, to your money?
Whatever new habit you want to form, do it for 21 consecutive days. Remember, if you miss a day, you have to start over. But having the calendar in front of you makes it more fun and gives you a sense of accomplishment.
Every day you complete your tasks, you mark the date with a big X. If at any point you want to be lazy, repeat to yourself “Don’t break the chain!”…”Don’t break the chain!” Look at your calendar and see those nice consecutive X’s. You don’t want to stop now!
You want to see at least 21 x’s in a row. After 21 days, your new behavior is now a new habit and it will be fun to cross out the x afterwards.
Now what if you wanted to use it to change old negative beliefs?
Use for sure! At least 5 times a day for 21 consecutive days. Mark each day with an “X” again when you’re done. Say affirmations when you first wake up, in the morning, at lunchtime, at three in the afternoon and before bed. (The time of day doesn’t matter, it’s even better if you choose to say it even more than 5 times – as long as you do!)
Here are some positive examples you can use:
If you feel negative about money: “Money comes to me effortlessly and easily in various ways every day” or “I have the right to always have enough money because I am”
If You’re Anxious: “At the Core of My Being, I’m Always Calm and Serene”
If your body doesn’t feel 100% yet: “My body is perfectly healthy and I’ve never felt better in my life!”
If you want to feel really good overall, try this: “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better!” (By the way, this one is really good! It covers everything from health, work, , exercise, relationships are all aspects of forming a new habit. With these simple words, you have it all covered!)
Of course, if it doesn’t feel right to you, you can find tons of other affirmations on the internet.
Make sure to keep your calendar where you can see it. Put it on your refrigerator, on a bulletin board at your workplace, or even on your bedroom wall so you can see it every night and every morning.
So try this simple exercise! We all know how fast 21 days can go, especially when you’re trying to break a bad habit or get rid of negative thoughts that have been lingering for years! 21 days is just a drop in the bucket.
