Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a series by Rick Riordan aimed at young adults; however, this series can easily appeal to readers of any age. I just started reading the stories because I heard it should be made into a movie and to me if a book is good enough to be made into a movie no matter how bad Hollywood will undoubtedly ruin it then it might be worth some Attention, I am willing to give. However, when I bought the first book, I didn’t expect to be so attracted by the storyline, although it was written in such a way that the younger generation could easily understand, it gave a one-by-one description of what was going on. The series begins with Percy Jackson and the Lightning Rogue, during which Percy, a 12-year-old boy with ADHD and dyslexia, discovers that he is the demigod and son of the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. Not only do you have creatures we can only dream about, but you also have powerful Greek gods who still exist today and currently love the top floor of the Empire State Building in New York. If the mythology isn’t enough to entice you, think of Percy’s non-stop action and the sword Riptide he always carries with him, which turns into a pen when not in use and always returns to his pocket when lost, this kind of It happens quite often.
