British police are launching a new initiative to crack down on drivers using hand-held mobile phones. The latest figures show that the number of people using mobile phones while driving has increased over the past few years. New data shows that the main offenders on the increase are young drivers aged 17-24, who regularly read and type text messages and chat while driving. According to a recent survey by Bluetooth Car Kit Direct, more than 70 percent of people in this age group have done so at least once this year, though many admit to doing it quite often.
