It was a Sunday and as usual many thoughts were running through my head and suddenly my thought process stalled at a point that made me think and rethink how a person can or should measure his or her personal growth ?
1) Your success on the test is measured by the points you score (your percentile).
2) Your success in business is measured by the income and profits you earn.
3) The versatility of your business is measured by your expansion plans, whether in terms of geographic expansion or ventures into new industries.
4) Experience is usually measured in years.
5) Your height, your weight, your age…everything can be measured.
So, how do you measure your “personal growth”?

To understand and measure your personal growth, let’s first list and understand the various activities we do in our lives. Once we understand this, it will help us set measurement parameters and/or choose a measurement scale. There is no second doubt in my mind, when we talk about “growth”, it needs to be objective and not subjective. should be measured.
Whatever you do as an individual can easily be divided into two parts:
1) professional
2) private
As children or adolescents, we do certain things that either help us professionally (give direction to our professional lives) or make our private lives more satisfying.
1) Professional life: basic education, vocational education, salary (wealth), promotion (role, decision-making authority, sphere of control, etc.), training and development (seminars and seminars), your visibility (and demand) and professional network.

5) Your demand and popularity for your profession and industry is another criterion for measuring the “professional front” of your life.
All of these factors are part of your “personal growth” and are all measurable.
Now, let’s count your “growth” in your “private life”. It is impossible to succeed in the “professional front” without “sacrificing” and adjusting in the “private life”. However, what you sacrifice and how you balance the relationship determine and measure your success in the “private front”.
Here are the factors that can be measured and calculated:
1) Longevity and happiness in married life
2) The amount you spend on your medicines
3) your child’s value system, education and success).
4) It’s impossible to make everyone happy, one needs to identify (actually choose) who they want to be happy, and then go all out to make sure they are happy. Therefore, your success depends on the judgments you make and the choices you make to set priorities.
While there may be nuances, all of these factors can be measured and evaluated. As I said before, to measure your growth you need to have a foundation. Measuring growth begins in the past and ends in the present. Your dreams and goals start in your present and end somewhere in your future.

I asked several people from different countries, age groups and genders what they really understand by “personal growth” and how they think personal growth should be measured. Due to space constraints, it is impossible for me to include all responses, but I have drawn a sample size.
According to Marc Aniballi (Managing Director, Crack Method Canada), the metric by which you measure personal growth changes over time and is entirely based on the stage of life you’re going through.
A baby measures their growth in inches;
A young man measures his growth by his peers;
A young person measures their growth by their parents;

I measure myself by how involved I am, how much support I get from my manager/supervisor, how successful I am with my business and personal relationships and goals, how well I balance my business and personal life, and how many relationships I have My growth is in every aspect of my life. I’m sure I’m missing something important in this answer; but the point is ~ money or bank accounts can’t measure your growth, fulfillment or success, only your feelings, relationships and heart can measure your personal success. “
