Six Steps For the Woman of Faith to Fulfill Her God-Given Destiny
Every woman of faith has a purpose, a specific plan God has for her life. However, not all will find, let alone achieve, this purpose. That sounds negative, but it’s the unfortunate truth. The reason is that a woman’s life is so complex that she and her life purpose can become so entangled in complexity that she can’t find the time to complete that plan.
The challenge for women is to be able to overcome this complexity, discover their purpose, and then go on to achieve it. Unfortunately, it’s not a function of not loving God, but understanding that while God has a great purpose for her to fulfill, the life she’s leading has the potential to kill her ability to carry out that plan.
She is a victim of her characters, her relationships, her seasons. They can be intimidating. She is daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin, student, wife, mother, career woman, co-worker, boss, subordinate, sister, friend – all rolled into one. Every role, relationship, and season places demands on her that she needs to constantly respond to. How does she respond to all of this and still achieve her God-given purpose? The truth is, her fate is already embedded in it. However, it takes God-inspired wisdom in her to string it all together and make sense of it. How did she get it? What does she need to do?
1. surrender completely to the lord
The woman of faith who desires to understand and fulfill the purpose God has given her must release herself unreservedly to Him. It requires a consistent, persistent, diligent focus on the Lord Jesus. This is because the relationship with him makes it possible for her to achieve her purpose, but it does not guarantee it. This explains why many women of faith are so dissatisfied and dissatisfied. It is one thing to have a relationship with the Lord, but quite another to be completely committed and surrendered to Him. That level of surrender comes from a deep understanding of God as the Creator of life. It produced the belief needed to access the great ideas and plans he had for her. Full obedience to God’s will has its benefits, but it also comes with sacrifices and costs. The good news is that he’s not the mission director, and he’s going to give the wisdom necessary to get them over the top and get to where they’re fully discovered. He will be there every step of the way. He will help her.
2. Consistently Spend Time Reading God’s Word
God’s will for his people (excluding women) is revealed in the pages of his Word, the Bible. The more time a confident woman spends in it, the closer she is to that divine purpose. Admittedly, a woman is a complex piece of work. Indeed, she is a product of the roles, relationships and seasons in her life. Indeed, in such circumstances, it is nearly impossible to find time to spend with the Word of God. So what does she need to do?
She must read her Bible decisively, diligently, consistently and practically, because this is where she can discover the essence of life. It’s true that there are many books, articles, magazines, and the internet that provide useful information for a successful life, but for women of faith, the Bible has the real answers to discovering and achieving their goals. The psalmist understood this when he said, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my journey” (Psalm 119:105). This will help her through the journey of life. Will it answer the question? It will bring solutions. It will give direction. It will provide the power needed to get the job done. This will help with discernment. It will protect from evil, sin and temptation. It exposes the antics of the enemy. It will give her strength when she is weak. It clarifies her when she is confused. It will comfort her when she is in pain. It will shed love in her heart. It brings joy from the source of salvation. It will bring peace in times of turmoil when everything is going crazy. It will do whatever it takes to bring a woman of faith to a place where she fully understands God’s will for her life. More importantly, it will provide everything she needs to make it happen.
How can the Bible be all this? The Gospel of John explains this. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). God and His Word are one and the same. Time spent on His Word is time spent on Him. Every line read is equivalent to story time with him. What can beat it? Is she overwhelmed with roles and responsibilities? Yes, she is. However, she must make time to tell stories with Heavenly Father. She couldn’t help it. Her purpose in life depends on it.
3. Consistently spend time in prayer
A consequence of spending time reading the Bible is the desire or need to pray. They go hand in hand. When a woman of faith spends time reading the Bible, the Spirit of God who dwells within her begins to desire to reveal Himself before the Father. The next thing to do is to praise, worship and pray. This is a natural process. Prayer is the key to God’s purpose for her life. It not only helps to lift the veil but provides the strength to make it happen. Prayer activates the Word. It became an important tool in the fulfillment of her purpose.
Does she have time? Obviously not. She has to babysit, cook, take care of her sick mom, attend school activities, and make sure the family stays together, in addition to working a full-time job for eight and five. Where did she find time to pray? Once again, she had to rise above the complexities of life and make time for prayer in addition to spending time reading the Bible.
The trick is to start somewhere and grow from there. Some women already have the perfect hour every morning to get there, but they don’t start there. Fifteen minutes to start would be a good place to start. To do this, discipline and consistency are very important. That means prioritizing it. It means a woman of faith understands that her life depends on it, and sticks with it to make sure it happens. The rest will flow from there.
4. make godly decisions
The steps to discover and achieve your goals are starting to look intertwined. Actually so to speak. After spending time with her father and praying through his word, a woman of faith will find that she has many decisions to make. These decisions bode well for her to fulfill God’s plan for her life. It might be something she needs to start or stop doing. This may be the relationship she needs to redefine. It’s probably something she should stay away from. It could be a choice between paid work and stay-at-home moms. It could be a choice between two jobs or two men who want to marry her. These decisions are often heartbreaking. It can be said that sometimes walking God’s way is equivalent to walking the narrow way of the Bible. Whatever it is, a decision must be made and followed to its logical conclusion.
The important thing is to make godly decisions. Sometimes this is easy, but other times it can be very difficult. Remember when Esther decided to meet the king? She realized it was a matter of life and death. She said, “If I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16). Here’s the bottom line. It was a godly decision as she realized only God could save her. When Ruth decided to go home with her mother-in-law, it was a godly decision (Ruth 1:16, 17). Only God can make sure what good she gets out of it. Naomi was an old, bitter woman at the time. She can’t help her, but God can. These women are great examples of women who fulfill their destiny.
Do women of faith have to make similar decisions? Yes. Are they always easy to make? No, should she? Yes. That’s the only way to get into His plan for her life—to make godly decisions because she trusts Him.
5. make the necessary sacrifices
After making a decision, a woman of faith must make sacrifices for her to enter into God’s plan for her life. The good news is that she didn’t make arbitrary sacrifices. They are actually necessary. If the decision is godly, the sacrifice will also be godly. He never asks a person to drop something without planning for something better. However, while the necessary sacrifices can be painful. It hurts when a woman has to let a loved one go because he doesn’t believe in her beliefs. It was painful when she let the prodigal son go, wondering if he would ever come back. But the truth is, every sacrifice she made was a seed in the hands of God. It died, but came alive, came back to her life, and helped her become who God intended her to be. It never left her life, but always had a doubly effect on her future.
Her ability to make sacrifices amounted to putting her faith in jeopardy. This is tantamount to a step of faith. That’s what pleases God. This is an indicator that a confident woman is ready to act on the plan He has for her. That is passing the test. This is an act of obedience. It always leads to a good and fulfilling life.
6. See life from God’s perspective
The life of a woman of faith, like anyone else’s, will have its seasons. Some are as favorable as spring and summer, while others are as cold and unfriendly as winter. They happened like that despite her walk with God. This is not the result of God’s displeasure with her. this is life. God allows both good and bad. Regardless, she must always see life from God’s perspective, which is always good. What does the Bible say? “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is honorable, whatever is excellent, or worthy of praise, think about those things” (Philippians 4:8). That’s God’s perspective. That’s positive thinking. This is how he sees life. No matter how bleak a situation looks, God always has a good perspective. They will always turn around. How can he be positive all the time? He knows that the power to turn things around lies in Him.
As a woman of faith, she must think like him and keep expecting the best. She has to understand that the purpose of life is to show itself in the good and bad things that happen. Sometimes, she had to lose her job before she could start a multi-million dollar business. Sometimes she had to let her daughter run away from home against her wishes so the young woman could cherish the life she had now. At times, she had to go through a divorce before her pastor could effectively minister to divorced women. But she must have a certainty in her heart that her ashes will eventually become beautiful. He never fails. This is the process of unfolding purpose and bringing forth destiny. It’s just a matter of time.
A woman of faith is so important to God. It was always a pleasure for him to work with her. Like him, she has the ability to conceive, hatch and realize dreams like God’s other creatures. That’s how she was created. But it’s hard for her because she has to adapt to many roles. Since these roles are also important to him, the answer cannot be that she abandons them to pursue fulfilling his plan for her life. She has to trust him while executing them and entering the season of life he gave her. He will guide her through the maze of life and bring her to the end. Her total devotion to him, consistently spending time in word and prayer, making godly decisions and sacrifices, while remaining positive throughout the seasons of her life will help her fulfill God’s purpose for her life. She can say like Paul, ‘Because I am now ready to be consecrated, the time has come for me to die. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my journey, I have kept my faith: from now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day” (Timos 1 Matt. 2 4); 6-8).
