Is it possible that someone’s life will change music? Kurt Donald Cobain is the leader of one of Grunge’s most important bands, Nirvana. He was born on February 20, 1967 in a small town near Seattle. He lived with his mother, a cocktail waitress, and his father, a mechanic. Later, he moved to a depressing logging town. Cobain was considered a kid with bronchitis for most of his childhood. Things got worse when his parents divorced when he was seven. He said he would never feel loved and safe again.

As time went on, Cobain began to change and life became more difficult for him. He became more antisocial, but he continued to pursue his dream of owning a band and being successful. He formed a series of bands before forming Nirvana in 1986. Nirvana is a very simple alliance between Cobain, bassist Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl. By 1988, Nirvana was producing shows and completed their demo tapes. In 1989, they recorded their first album, Bleach, considered the best grunge hit of the time.

“Smells Like Teen Spirit” became Nirvana’s top-rated and instantly recognized song. Cobain, however, was always concerned that maybe his music attracted the wrong fans, the kids who always beat him up in high school. In February 1992, Cobain traveled to Hawaii to marry Courtney Love. In the same year, he released another of his records, Insecticide. In early 1993, In Utero topped the music charts.

Cobain got hooked on heroin in the early ’90s; he says he used it to ward off the rigors of touring and the pain of stomach ulcers. In August, Cobain was hospitalized for heroin abuse. Soon after Bean Cobain was born. On March 4, he attempted suicide after taking about 50 painkillers and champagne, and was again taken to the hospital in a coma.

Cobain is a gun fanatic and always owns several guns. A few days later, on April 5, he locked himself in his grandmother’s room at the back of the mansion, put the shotgun to his mouth and pulled the trigger. Cobain’s body was found when an electrician walked around the back of the house when he came to install a security system. He thought he saw a mannequin on the floor until he noticed blood next to Cobain’s ear. When police broke in, they found Cobain dead on the floor with a shotgun still pointed at his chin, next to a suicide note written in red ink to his wife and daughter Frances Bean. He is one of the best singers not only for me but for the whole world and the leader of the new genre Grunge.
