Beautiful Garden: The Paradise of God
“The LORD God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed” (Genesis 2:8).
the greek name for the garden of eden is Heaven (gram. Carnival, “The Beautiful Garden”).Although this garden is not discussed It is certainly mentioned several times in the New Testament. In any case, we can be sure that if God built the Garden of Eden in Eden, it was indeed a “heaven”, a beautiful garden.
Let us not blame God for the terrible scars this earth is now bearing. Blame man and his pride and greed. Blame his marching army, his guns and bombs.Blame his “intellectual achievement,” his ability to pollute the Earth’s surface and atmosphere with toxic fumes and waste, and deafening noises – all in the name of progress. Blaming him for irresponsibility and messing up its inhabitable surface.
God did not put man in such an atmosphere.Instead, “the Lord God planted garden The garden of Eden in the east, where he put the man he made. “How breathtaking and delightful these surroundings must be! There is only lighthearted duty to ‘groom’ and ‘care’ the garden1 (Genesis 2:15), and the special blessing of open fellowship with God, perhaps especially “in cool days” (Genesis 2:19,22,23; 3:8).
But when man fell, all creation fell with him. Man now has a fallen, sinful nature. The animal kingdom suddenly became wild and ferocious, and as for the vegetable kingdom, God said to Adam: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; you will eat it in sorrow all the days of your life; it will give you thorns and thistles, and in the sweat of your brow you will eat.” “ (Genesis 3:17-19). He said to the woman: “I will greatly increase your grief and your pregnancy; in your grief you will bear children…” (3:16). Even this way of life is ultimately brought to an end by death and “return to the dust”; for God says, “From the dust you were taken: Dust you are, and to dust you shall return(3:19). Indeed, lest man now eat of the tree of life and live forever, God “sent him out of the garden of Eden, to till it2 Where did he come from” (Genesis 3:23). Thus, we read in Romans 5:12:
“Therefore… sin came into the world by one, and death by sin; therefore death came to all3 people, because all people have sinned. “
Man’s greatest problem since that dreadful day is his crime. This was the source of all his troubles and sufferings, although the subject is not even dealt with in our great scientific writings. It is clear fact Any consideration of the question by the intellectuals of this world is brushed aside as regards sin and its consequences.
The results of the Fall were truly catastrophic, and the human habitation changed from beautiful gardens to fields and forests, which had to be cleared and cultivated by painstaking efforts in the face of relentless opposition from many quarters. However, for those redeemed who leave this life, God again provides a beautiful garden.
In “Old Testament” times, the common name for this departed place was hell (Hebrew) and its Greek counterpart hell, both mean “invisible”.However, a careful reading of Luke 16:19-31 reveals hellor hell, is divided into two areas, separated by “a huge bay” (Ver.26). The phrase “Abraham’s bosom” (v. 22) describes an aspect of the place to which the redeemed go. This is, so to speak, the place where Abraham, the “Father of Believers,” welcomed all his dear children home. But another aspect of this wonderful place is described by the name Paradise: Beautiful Gardens.
The writer, in his youth, somehow imagined Hades as a vast, two-part cavernous region, dimly lit and mysterious. But our Lord’s calling of the blessed region “Heaven” gave it a very different revelation.
How it must have touched the heart of the repentant robber crucified with our Lord, whom the Savior Himself assured:
“I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in heaven“(Luke 23:43).
This assurance must have filled him with comfort and joy, in spite of his sufferings.soon he will be with christ beautiful garden!A garden is a place for people to rest and refresh themselves. The garden planted by God must be infinitely pleasant. Being in such a garden “With Christ”: Indescribable joy!
But according to biblical prophecy, one day Eden will be gloriously restored and greatly enlarged. This will happen when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to reign on earth, Israel is saved, and salvation and blessings flow from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. We could quote literally dozens of Old Testament passages here to confirm, but a few will suffice:
“The law shall go forth from Zion,4 and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3).
“The Lord of hosts shall reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem” (Isaiah 24:23).
“Yes, kings will fall before him; all nations will serve him” (Psalm 72:11).
“Many people and mighty nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the Lord of hosts and to pray before the Lord” (Zech. 8:22).
Paul confirms this in his letter to the Romans:
“All Israel will be saved, and a deliverer will come out of Zion, as it is written, and take away the ungodliness of Jacob” (Romans 11:26).
“Now I say, Jesus Christ is the circumcised minister of the truth of God, Confirmation of commitment to father;
“And that the Gentiles may glorify God by His mercyas it is written…” (Romans 15:8,9).
The results of this spiritual shift will be profound. Man will no longer have to till barren land and sweat his bread, for the curse will be removed from the creation of plants:
“The desert will rejoice and bloom like a rose. It will bloom…for in the wilderness the flood will break, and the desert will flow. The dry land will become a pond, and the thirsty land will become a spring” (Isaiah 35 :1,2,6,7).
Animal creation will also lift the curse:
“The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; the calf, and the young lion, and the fat lion shall dwell together; and the little boy shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; and their young shall be together Lie down; the lion shall eat grass like an ox. The suckling shall play in the viper’s den, and the weaned shall lay his hand on the cockatrice’s nest. They shall neither harm nor destroy all that is in my holy mountain” (Isaiah 11:6-9).
Curses will be removed from humans themselves:
“The eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be opened; then the lame will leap like a stag, and the tongue of the dumb will sing” (Isaiah 35:5,6).
“There will be no more babes of a day, nor old men before their days: for a child of a hundred will die;5 Cursed is the sinner when he is a hundred years old” (Isaiah 65:20).
Other aspects of fall will also be removed and reversed:
Christ will be known by all: “The earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters are with the sea” (Isaiah 11:9).
The government will be purified: “The King shall rule and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice on earth” (Jeremiah 23:5).
War and bloodshed shall be abolished: “He will judge among the nations, and rebuke many. They will beat swords into plowshares, and spears into sickles: nations will no longer raise swords against nations, nor will they learn war any more.” (Isaiah 2:4).
The suffering and sorrow of Israel will pass – and so will the suffering and sorrow of other nations: “They shall rejoice, and sorrow and sighing shall pass away” (Isaiah 35:10 cf. 40:5; 60:3).
These conditions will prevail when our Lord, the rightful king, reigns on earth for 1,000 years.it will Paradise Restorationand more.
heaven supreme or heavenly heaven
So far we have discussed Paradise, the Garden of Eden, which was also so graciously prepared for believers in previous generations, and Eden, which was gloriously restored and enlarged during the reign of Christ’s kingdom.
But what about the era we’re in now—an era that’s been going on for almost 2,000 years? Concerning the delay in the return of our Lord to rule and restore this poor stricken world, the Apostle Paul said:
“We know that until now the whole creation has groaned and toiled together.6
“Not only they, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for our adoption, that is, the redemption of our bodies” (Romans 8:22, 23).
Ah, but the apostle also reveals a “mystery” that was not known until revealed to him by the risen and glorified Lord, not all at once, but in installments (see Acts 26:16; 2 Corinthians 12: 1) .
This revelation concerns believers’ status, blessings, and prospects in the current “age of God’s grace.” It must be that God has reserved His greatest blessings for those who should trust in His Son in the age of His rejection—“This Wicked Time Now” (Galatians 1:4), because Paul tells how he was “caught up to the third heaven” in 2 Corinthians 12:1-7, describing it as “Paradise”: Beautiful garden! think about it! highest heaven (Greek, Eplanos) beautiful garden. This must be Elysium! There, indeed, the apostle “heard the unspeakable,” which is not permitted to be spoken. Here he is before God, seeing and hearing things we can’t even begin to understand. So glorious was this revelation that God sent an “angel of Satan” to beat his body with “a thorn in the flesh,” lest he be exalted beyond measureHe repeats the reason twice for emphasis (see 2 Corinthians 12:7).
We cannot grasp our heavenly glory in Christ now, but we can trust the word of God, which is our position, which is our blessing (Ephesians 2:6; 1:3).What is ours by grace, we may now possess faith aloneBut someday we’ll enjoy them in fact, really. Then we will see that our idea that God’s presence and surroundings are just a fiery, blinding brilliance is least adequate, because Paul was there, and in all its glory, describing it as Heavena beautiful garden, certainly far more beautiful than anything we begin to imagine.
In this brief article, we don’t have enough room to detail what God has in store for us in the age after Christ’s kingdom reign, nor why the author believes that during the millennium, the final perfect, redeemed earth There will be full and open fellowship between the nation and the redeemed nation in heaven. Then the truth of Ephesians 1:10 will be fulfilled.
“In an age of contentment, he may become one all in Christ, of heaven, and of earth; even in him.“
Then “God’s Paradise” On the earth mentioned in Revelation 2:7, there will be an opening to Paradise! Who knows what glory the children of God will receive! We can only confidently expect to know all this through our own experience, for these are of course only a small part of what God has in store for those who love him. But at least we already know that’s his benevolent purpose:
“In order to show to ages to come the great riches of his steadfast love which was shown us in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:7).
1. This is forward The creation of plants is cursed.
2. Note: It is not “installing” a vegetable garden, but “cultivating” the land.
3. Both in adam coming from adam.
4. Submit now, from the heart (Jeremiah 31:33).
5. That is, people who die at the age of 100 will be treated as mere children, and will die only as a judgment for sin, which cannot be tolerated at that time.
6. That is, the curse has not been removed (because the reign of our Lord has been rejected and awaits a future day).
