Who Gives MLM And Internet Home Based Businesses Such a Bad Reputation With The Public In General?

I realize people are sick and tired of sales pitches, hype, rah-rah, and whoop de do, and un-realistic expectations from distributor’s,or marketers in multi level marketing (MLM) or internet online marketing companies, or that they might even get scammed! Who can blame them, especially when you’ve heard people telling you, you can join something for $20-$30 $40 even $300 a month to earn $20-$80,000 a month, and you can do it in the next 90days or so, so it sounds to good to be true and it usually is!! Especially when most people don’t even earn that a year, or even 2yrs.

Is it possible! Of course it is!, but for most people who work a week and get paid at the end of the week (instant gratification) haven’t the mind set to understand working at a business and not making instant money “delayed gratification” that’s required for these types of internet, affiliate or network marketing businesses. They can’t see earning $80,000 a month for them so won’t even join. We know it works because we do it, but it takes a year or two of vision, tenacity, determination, hard work, desire, passion, and most of all perseverance to never give up when things don’t go to plan. It takes years to build successful businesses, not weeks and months. I’m always amazed though when you talk to people who tell you they are struggling financially, and that they are looking for something new, yet when they are shown an alternative way of earning extra income, they then proceed to tell you why they can’t do that, or the best one is I can’t afford to and are not even willing to look at the opportunity itself, that’s when you understand why they are broke and in that position in the first place. My response is always, from what you have told me, “you can’t afford not to” and you can do it if “you” choose to. I ask them this question. You need to change something if you have worked consistently for over 10-20-40-50years and you can’t go to your bank, withdraw $500 without any worry or concern, then you have been in the wrong job or business and failed sadly. The sad thing is to hear people say I have worked 55 years and they had more money in their 20s than they have today. “Why is that? Pension plans are being bankrupted! 401ks are a joke!, social security gone? So unless you have a plan “b” for your retirement, you will be broke when you retire: “so what are your alternatives.”

“Are you unsure about your job? Has debt got you stressed out? Are you worried about what the economy is going to do next? Are you going to wait like always and see what turns up? Or will you do something to make that change yourself. If you are looking for the answer to any of these questions, so many people in MLM and the internet today are claiming to have the answer to all our financial worries. I am not claiming this to be the answer to all your money problems, however, it is and has turned a whole lot of people’s lives around. No, this is not for everyone, and no, it’s not get rich quick, yet some just don’t believe in anything outside of their normal or mundane jobs that they and even you go to everyday and probably will do for the next 40-50 years. Let’s face it, some folks will never invest in their future,even if their current situation is crying out for a serious change. Are you a believer in change like me?

“Network marketing or online marketing is the way to go if you are looking for an extra stream of income, or even a full time income. Instead of paying advertisers vast amounts of money to promote the company or product,they prefer to pay you as a distributor to spread the word and build up a team under you, which overtime will pay you well.This way you don’t have to give up your regular income from your job! Just add to it. It will take some commitment on your part to invest time that you probably waste now watching TV, playing video games etc, but it takes a lot less commitment and less start up cost than traditional businesses without the large financial investment it takes for people who may want to open a coffee, sandwich, or clothes shop, or even a restaurant, which normally takes 100s of 1000s of $$$$! Even then it’s a massive financial burden every month, and the risks are high. Out of the 900,000 businesses that start up each year, 800,000 or more fail in their first year of business, and those people are further in debt than when they started, and with the added pressure of trying to sell a failed business.

What are the risks in network marketing or online marketing? Very small, mainly just your time that your wasting anyway. Most people spend 4-6 hours a day watching TV, or playing games. It’s the priorities you set for yourself and what you are willing to give up too achieve your success. Yes, the failure rate in MLM is high, but let me tell you it’s not the business that fails, but the people who quit. Why do people quit. Normally because they didn’t make their fortune they we’re led to believe with un-realistic expectations in the beginning by their sponsor, who told them you will make a lot of money in the next 30-90days that will change your life. For some people that has happened, but only to a few. Remember!! It takes people 30-50 years to be broke, and yet people start something new and exciting, they expect to get rich in just months!!

Most start up cost in MLM companies range from $50- $1500 and usually has a monthly service fee for the website, advertising, and a monthly auto-ship cost of anywhere from $100-$300 for your personal product usage. Online marketing businesses can start from $300- $10,000. If you are website building, you will have your yearly renewal of your domains, which can run anywhere from $9.99- $25 per domain. If you have a lets say 100 websites, you will have a minimal annual business expense, (tax deductible of course) of $1,000 – max $2500. Traditional businesses as you can see are a lot more time consuming, normally full time, and the costs are very very high. So now the question is, which would you choose.

I have a few recommendations for you! What is network marketing? It’s nothing more than you’ve been doing since you were 5 years old, and that is recommending and promoting things you like to your family, friends, and co-workers!

Things like your favorite restaurant, movie, car, motorcycle, dentist, doctor, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, LinkedIn, websites, video games, cell phones, real estate agent, lawyer, clothes shop, baby-sitter or even a night club etc! All those years of doing that, did anyone of those companies ever send you a check for advertising for them with your word of mouth recommendations or promotions?? No, why not? Well this is why networking companies work”! Because they pay you for doing just that. Today is your chance to make things happen differently from now on. Make life worth living, exciting, rewarding, and comfortable.
