Q #1: Is doing a lot of cardio a good idea if you eat too many calories one day?

I don’t like to look at exercise as a form of punishment or purging for overeating.
Here are the 2 ways to handle it better:
1) If this happens once a month, it is not a big deal. Just go about your normal life and stay consistent with your regular training.
2) If this happens once a week, or several times a week, then it is a nutritional behavior problem that needs to be corrected, and excessive exercise is not the answer.
Build your body, don’t beat it.
Q #2: What is the best interval training program for fat loss?
No interval method has been shown to be best for fat loss…but of course intervals have been shown to be better than regular cardio for shedding fat fast.
So using different intervals for fat loss is like using different repetition ranges for muscle growth. That’s what I prefer.
This way you train the metabolism of your muscle in three different energy systems and put your body in the ultimate turbulence of burning fat. This ensures that you will maximize your metabolism, while burning more calories – both carbohydrates and fats – during the workout and after the workout. Q #3: Craig, I started your beginner fat burner workout several weeks ago (I will finish the four weeks this week and then I plan to move on to the advanced fat burner workout for 4 weeks).
Over the past 14 months I have dropped 85 pounds. Even in the weight loss period I started walking almost every day and progressed to body weight exercises and doing some hill running in addition to the walking. Worked with dumbbells outside and on. Made some decent progress. I need to continue the weight loss another 20-30 pounds. All this is background.
My question is I’ve read about 50 year olds (I’m 49) needing more recovery between workouts. I’m doing well on the Turbulence Training – just checking with you to see if you have anything to suggest with someone my age doing these exercises. I think I’m fine doing the 3 times a week because the intensity is high, but the duration is not high.
Any insight would be helpful. I just want to continue something that I can continue for the long term.

It seems that everything is fine. Fortunately, the fat burning workouts are designed to give you more recovery than traditional 5 days a week body part workouts. Use the days off for recovery methods (walk the dog, run errands, etc).
Every couple of months take a week off, do one low volume high intensity workout and do a variety of things to improve your recovery.
