Or, maybe you finally pulled out the old credit card and bought a ready-made script, and finally figured out how to successfully upload the thing on the web. Either way, I’m sure you’ve already decided on the niche you plan to fill, whether for a specific geographic location or a specific group or subculture. After all, creating a general and international website may seem attractive at first, but that niche has been much overfilled. Besides, who wants to join a dating site where the other 16 members are scattered all over the world? However, the days and weeks pass, and the members you thought would flock to your new and wonderful creation just don’t come, and even your closest friends stop checking their profiles. It’s time to get your dating site noticed. It’s time to get found on Google.
The process of getting your website found in the search engines is called SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and the search engine you need to focus most of your efforts on is Google.
