Lemon Pepper and Sage Grilled Spareribs

What you need:

  • 2 kilograms of pork ribs

  • 1 teaspoon of lemon pepper

  • 1 tablespoon ground sage

  • 2 teaspoons of dried rosemary

  • 1 tablespoon of dried thyme

  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder

Mix together lemon pepper, sage, rosemary, thyme, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Rub mixture evenly over spareribs. Cook meat on preheated grill over high heat, turning frequently, for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or to desired doneness.

Smart Sweet Potatoes

What you need:

  • 1 egg

  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 3/4 cup mashed sweet potatoes

  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of dry sage

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • Cooking spray

Spray a small skillet with cooking spray and cook garlic and onion over medium heat until soft. Spray grill with cooking spray and heat. In a medium bowl, mix together egg, sweet potatoes, rolled oats, sage, black pepper and also cooked garlic and onion. Using clean hands, roll mixture into balls and flatten slightly. Cook meatballs in preheated grill for 3 to 4 minutes on each side or until lightly browned.

Sage Citrus Pork Chops

What you need:

  • 4 pieces. 1/2-inch thick boneless center-cut pork chops

  • 1 large orange

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage leaves

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season chops with salt and pepper and cook in the pan for 4 minutes on each side. While waiting for the chops to cook, grate 1 teaspoon of orange zest and squeeze 1/4 cup of fresh orange juice. Remove chops from heat and set aside.
